Mullberry colored Modern Master Bedroom and Ensuite
This was such a fun and unique request! This client wanted to use her husbands alma mater colors (purple) in the design and she also wanted a more contemporary space. We started in the master bath re-configuring the space and eliminating a bathtub which gave way for a very spacious shower. We decided on a white subway tile for the walls and paired it with a purple glass tile that we used as accents around the hardware, in a niche and on the vanity between the mirrors. We chose a floating cabinet in a warm walnut. For floors we use two different tiles, the first was a large 12 x 24 tile in a Raisin color, paired with a sliced pebble tile in creams, browns and azure hues. This tile lined the shower floor and as “runner” in front of the vanity. A feature are the vanity lights that hang from a canopy attached to wall and hover between the mirrors.
The master bedroom pairs a leather headboard with a recliner across the room. At the foot of the bed we created an area that the clients could enjoy watching tv or their cozy fireplace. We did his and her sitting pieces as well; for her an apartment sized sofa done in velvet to curl up on, while he has a masculine leather recliner.
