The goal of this project was to build a design that connected to the client's love for the sea.  Cicada 3D’s task was to create a water inspired kitchen. This concept extended to a full first floor remodel. 

A kitchen comprised of white shaker cabinets is classic. White will expand a space and make the whole room lighter. I have chosen rich blue accents to give them that sensation and create the water kitchen:

• The back wall of the kitchen is painted in a rich Sherwin-Williams paint, the color is Aegean Sea Blue.
• Zephyer's Range Hood   incorporates a band of LED that wraps the edge of the the hood in ambient lighting in Cloud White, Deep Blue and Amber featuring  Bloom(TM) HD LED lighting.
• Fused glass cabinet pulls in transparent aqua blue.
• We chose a drum shade with a water motif and also dipped the rim of a pendant light they owned in the same blue paint that was used on the wall.
• White glazed subway tile's finish has an organic wave imprinted in it, so it replicates water movement; I paired it with aqua green glass tile to add depth .
• We striped the old “yellowed” oak floor and applied a natural finish, the transformation was phenomenal the oak took on the appearance of Hickory ( this was a pleasant surprise).

Everyone loves blue and when paired with white – the most versatile shade around – you’ll be creating something full of life, but also full of timeless style. The accents selected for my latest kitchen project are rich and affordable, but also add a  very sophisticated flair.
